The Training and Security Coordinator is responsible for a variety of duties and responsibilities in support of District training efforts. This position will be responsible for developing, designing, and delivering training and curriculum for all District employees. Leads, facilitates, and participates in committee meetings to ensure training effectiveness and awareness. Serves as an Assistant to the Director of Safety & Training.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, and develop training and curriculum.
  • Determine program content and/or delivery technique to meet the needs of the audience.
  • Update existing training as needed by revising and/or creating new material and approaches.
  • Provide instruction to new and existing employees.
  • Accurately maintain training files.
  • Coordinate and schedule external instructors, internal BTW and classroom trainers, revenue trainers, and document all training.
  • Incorporate relevant teaching methods, educate on procedures, provide a safe learning environment to employees at all levels.
  • Conduct assessments to identify training needs to design and develop additional training material.
  • Coordinate the security department's staffing schedules.
  • This position will have access to confidential information concerning employees and the business operations of CityLink and thus will require a great deal of confidentiality.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have High School Diploma. Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Hold a Class A or Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and airbrakes for a minimum of 2 years.
  • A combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree for the right candidate.
  • Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software required for frequent data entry.
  • Experience in implementing and following safety protocols.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, co-workers, and other stakeholders.
  • Must possess a team-oriented and positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
  • Must have organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions:

Work is primarily performed in an office setting, with occasional outdoor work. Requires the physical capability for activities such as walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, squatting, bending, twisting, crouching, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, lifting, and carrying materials.


Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a minor amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.


General Working Hours:

Position requires flexibility in scheduled working hours.
