Job Title: Parts Room Foreman

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Employment Status: Full Time | Union

Salary Range: Per Union Labor Contract

Summary:

As Parts Room Foreman, incumbent will continue duties as a Parts Room Clerk with additional duties involving supervisory tasks within the Parts Room. This includes overseeing Parts Room personnel, overseeing the daily workflow, and maintaining the integrity of GPMTD inventory and assets. This position reports to the Director of Maintenance and will assist in the development and adherence to processes pertaining to the issuing, receiving, tracking, and maintenance of inventory.


Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Execute all duties pertaining to a Parts Room Clerk role.
  • Assign, oversee, and ensure the completion of duties and tasks within the Parts Room.
  • Ensures proper procedures and policies are being followed within the Parts Room.
  • Oversee work orders, reporting, and ensure accurate and efficient asset management.
  • Assist with annual TAM Plan
  • Manage weekly parts ordering and annual bidding for parts/supplies and services (electrical, HVAC, and plumbing), ensuring alignment with procurement policies.
  • Weekly reports such as inspections, buses requiring oil, fluids, and work orders.
  • Check, verify, and manage work orders.
  • Creating PO's and Receiving Documents for services - fall under asset management.
  • Part adjustments
  • Send PO's and Receiving Documents out for e-signatures.
  • Indemnity and Insurance for Vendors
  • Work with Finance for fiscal year end parts audit.
  • Maintains file (z file) with finance track vendor folders and accounts receivable/payable.
  • Facilitate the setup of new vehicles in Avail.
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in parts room or logistics background required.
  • Leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a team.
  • Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience in Fleetnet/Avail or similar logistics software.
  • A proven ability to establish and sustain positive relationships with vendors.
